Job Description
• Facility name: Marshall Medical Center South
• Approx # of Shifts/Month: 20-25
• Will there be an opportunity to pick up shifts past April? If so, how long do you anticipate needing coverage: Yes, there may be coverage needs for 6+ months – 1 year. We are attempting to hire at least 2 FTEs
• Shift Length(s) Available: 9 – 12 hours
• Is Rounding Required: No, we have a separate hospitalist team. ED rounding only.
• APP Support/Schedule: 18-24 hours/days
• Annual Volume: Estimated 33,600
• Trauma Level: III
• Will you look at EM doctors with PEDs experience: Yes, and we will consider FMs with Emergency experience
• Do you require the doctors to be Fellowship trained: Preferred, but desire physicians with Emergency experience. All physicians must have completed an accredited residency program and be initially board certified by the ABMS or AOA in their residency/fellowship training.
• Credentialing time frame: Medical staff services can expedite knowing our need for ED physician coverage. Applications must be received and at a minimum verified: license, insurance and current competency to consider temporary privileges.
• Are you willing to wait for a doctor to license: Prefer Alabama license and local to our region.
• Specialty backups: 25 Specialties including general surgery, critical care, pulmonology, urology, vascular, oncology, orthopedics, OBGYN, GI (10 days/month), cardiology (10 days/month), etc.
• EMR system: T-Systems and CPSI
