Join Dr. Samuels, who is in practice with his father, the founder of the practice.  Dr. Samuels, Sr is winding down, no longer taking call.  Call is currently shared with one other solo doc in town.  Dr. Samuels Jr, a graduate of Ohio State School of Medicine (trained in Columbus) seeks one or two docs immediately to join the practice.  The first provider takes call to q3, then to q4 with the second.

 

Although he does work at 4 facilities in metro Columbus, over 90% is really done at two hospitals.  The practice works at OSU Medical Center, Grant, Saint Annes, and Mount Carmel East.  All are L3 NICUs, all have Davinci.

 

They see currently about 400 patients per week.  Call will be shared equally among the providers who take call.  Dr. Samuels said that if someone is surgically oriented, he will refer his cases to them - he said someone will get majors in their first week or two of practicing.

 

They have EMR, and they are very customer focused.  He offers cosmetics in the practice too.  Being customer focused, to get patients who are well-insured, he makes himself available in the evening one night a week.

 

Pay is production based, paying you 40% of your collections (I believe its collections and not charges).  First year minimum guaranteed by the practice is 200K, and bonuses are paid quarterly.  So, if you collect 600K that year,  you will take home 240K.  From day one, you are treated like a partner, and partnership is officially offered after the third year.
